Too big to fail? When it comes to interior design, this economic principle doesn’t apply. Very large spaces do often cause a problem. For a private client in 2004, we needed to tame the enormous volume of the living room. Even the huge seating island with two opposite couches risked looking lost in space. What we wanted was an expansive coffee table to fill up the volume: thus the first two JAMES tables were born. With their reduced and timeless square form, they are delicately defined by a larger wood frame on two opposites sides, providing additional trays that can be extended when needed. Thanks to these little butlers, you can grasp your drinks or snacks easier, without getting up from your seat each time. We juxtaposed the coffee tables as twins, playing with their beautiful wood grain patterns, and we even used the same design for the dining table of this client.
